Ageless Fitness Encinitas FAQs
Questions We Receive The Most
Is it too late to build muscle after 60?
No — and this surprises a lot of people. Your body can build strength at any age when it’s trained properly. With progressive, guided strength training, adults in their 60s, 70s, and beyond regularly improve muscle tone, stability, and energy. It’s not about lifting heavy weights — it’s about giving your body the right stimulus consistently.
Is this safe for beginners?
Yes. In fact, many of our members start with little to no recent exercise experience. Every session is coach-led, movements are adjusted to your ability, and progressions are gradual. You’ll never be thrown into something you’re not ready for.
Do I need physician clearance?
Recommended for diagnosed conditions. If you’ve been diagnosed with a medical condition (such as heart issues, osteoporosis, joint replacements, etc.), we recommend getting clearance from your physician before starting. Your safety is always our first priority, and we’re happy to coordinate appropriately.
Will this help prevent falls?
Strength and balance training significantly reduce common fall risk factors. By improving leg strength, core stability, coordination, and mobility, your body becomes better at reacting and stabilizing itself. While no program can eliminate risk entirely, proper training dramatically improves steadiness and confidence.
How do I get started?
